In our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible service, the Okefenokee Regional Library System is closing library branches on March 13, 2015 for staff improvement. We will be bringing staff from all library branches to the Waycross branch for a day-long training. Dawn Dale from the Georgia Public Library Service will be coming to train staff with the Evergreen library management software and answer questions. There will also be workshops for Overdrive e-resources and the LibData computer management software. Additionally, staff will be introduced to some of the new equipment purchased with the 2014 Major Repair and Renovation grant funding. Training with this equipment will allow staff members to better assist patrons in the future.
Books can still be returned to book drops and all library branches will be open for regular hours after Friday.
