  • GA Department of Education Home School page:  Gives state guidelines, laws, and an online registration form for home schooling children.
  • Home School Legal Defense Association: A non-profit organization established to advocate and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children.
  • Home School World:  The publishers of several home school magazines
  • Homeschool.com:  Your Virtual Home School, this site provides avice to parents new to homeschooling, shares answers to frequently asked questions, and includes a guide to curriculum and other education resources, online activities and more.
  • Homeschooling in Georgia: A compilation of resources, ideas, and support for families who homeschool.
  • National Home Education Research Institute:  A nonprofit educational organization, NHERI produces reports and statistics on home schooling and serves as a clearinghouse of research on home schooling in order to assist home educators and policy makers, and help educate the public about home schooling.

Get a Library Card

It’s easy!

1. Get immediate access to all digital resources OKRLS offers by completing this online application.

2.  If you’d like full access to our books and other materials, complete the online application and then visit your local library. Be sure to bring your driver’s license or other photo ID with you.

3.  If your driver’s license or photo ID doesn’t have your current address on it, you’ll also need to bring something official, like a pre-printed check or utility bill, that does show your name and current address.

4.  Verify your application with library staff and be sure to sign the bottom of the application.

You’ll get your library card and you can check out library materials right away. Find your closest OKRLS library here!
