After a great deal of planning, construction at the Appling County Public Library branch is now underway. Upgrades to the building will include new lights, fresh paint, new bathrooms, theater equipment in the program room, and improved staff areas. The patron computer area will have tidier and safer connections to the network. This is the first major update to the library space since the children’s room was remodeled in 2009. The remodel is thanks to SPLOST funding voted on by the citizens of Appling County and matching grant funding from the state of Georgia. The library is excited to offer improved services and facilities to patrons in the near future.
